Persimmon Homes West Wales has launched a significant new housing scheme in Saundersfoot, with support from Mid & South Pembrokeshire MP Henry Tufnell and County Councillor Chris Williams. The 72-home development, Ger-y-Môr, represents a major investment in sustainable housing and community infrastructure in the region.
Approved by the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path National Park Authority, the site features energy-efficient homes and will offer affordable housing options through a partnership with a local housing provider.
“We are committed to leaving a positive and lasting legacy in Saundersfoot,” said Stuart Phillips, Managing Director of Persimmon Homes West Wales. “We’ve engaged with the community and local authorities at every stage, and it’s exciting to see that effort take shape.”
The development will deliver zero-carbon ready homes, complete with green infrastructure such as solar panels, electric vehicle charging points, and bio-retention systems. A dedicated active travel link, play area, and contributions to local transport upgrades are also included in the scheme.
Henry Tufnell MP commented:
“It’s a pleasure to see developments like this bringing not only housing solutions but also jobs and economic momentum to Pembrokeshire.”
Cllr Chris Williams added:
“The inclusion of 35% affordable homes will have a real impact on the local housing list. We need more projects like this, built in collaboration with communities.”
