Five South Wales site managers are celebrating after receiving a prestigious award for their work at a local housing development.
Huw Thomas, Osian Phillips, Elliot Kingdon, Charlie Jones and Kurt Patterson received the National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Quality Award for excellence in on-site management for their work at Barratt Redrow developments across the region.
The awards were given for work at five Barratt Redrow developments, including Maes Yr Haf in Radyr, De Clare Gardens in Caerphilly, Great Milton Park in Llanwern, Plas Ty Draw in Lisvane and Afon Las in Radyr.
For more than 40 years, the NHBC’s Pride in the Job scheme has been dedicated to recognising the industry’s very best performers and is a prestigious accolade that site managers aspire to achieve.
To receive the award, site managers must score highly in all areas of build and site management including quality of workmanship, technical expertise, health and safety and leadership. Judges look for meticulous attention to detail and the special qualities and attributes that set the best site managers apart from the rest.
Each manager was praised for excellence in their on-site management, and for their dedication to quality, leadership and safety.
Sian Smith, Sales Director at Barratt David Wilson Redrow South Wales, said: “We are thrilled so many of our site managers have been recognised and have received this award for their hard work and dedication.
“Five NHBC award wins across our region is a testament to the effort each team member has put into our fantastic South Wales developments, and truly reflects their passion for building high-quality homes that help create thriving communities.
“A Pride in the Job Award is something that many site managers strive for, so it is truly an outstanding achievement and very well deserved.”
