Governance360, the board governance and risk portal built for volunteer boards and growing SMEs with an office at Tramsheds Tech in Grangetown, has launched a new Partner Programme to help advisers and consultants add governance and risk support to the services they already offer clients.
Most boards aren’t run by people employed to do governance full time. They’re run by volunteers and small teams who pick up governance and risk alongside a full workload, often with limited time, limited budget and no dedicated support. Advisers who work with these organisations regularly spot the gaps – out of date risk registers, meetings and documentation run over email, and board members with no formal training – but rarely have the time or tools to fix them systematically.
The new Partner Programme is designed to let advisers close that gap without having to build the solution themselves. Partners get access to the Governance360 platform and training materials to recommend or resell to clients, a new revenue stream through referral and reseller options, and ongoing support from the Governance360 team to help build governance into their own client conversations. For many advisers, it also means a reason to stay closer to clients for longer, and a way to add a service clients are already asking for without adding to their own workload.
Partners can get involved as a referral partner, an accredited adviser, or a reseller of the platform, depending on how deeply they want to build Governance360 into their own services. Full details of each route are available on the Governance360 website.

“We already work with a number of skilled advisers who’ve seen the difference Governance360 makes to the boards they support,” said Clive Bawden, founder of Governance360. “This programme gives them a structured way to build on that: to bring governance support to more of their clients, and to grow their own practice at the same time. A lot of the advisers we talk to, accountants in particular, are used to working with solutions like Xero or QuickBooks, which have their own partner models. Governance360 is building something similar for governance and risk, and there is a gap in the market right now that we’re well placed to fill.”
One of the first partners to join the programme is Dr Sophie Dale-Black, founder of The Portfolio House, a consultancy that helps organisations – including those in the Science Park and intellectual capital markets – secure funding, build strong teams and put good governance in place.
“Governance360 solves a lot of the practical problems I see with clients day to day,” said Sophie. “It’s simple to use, the team behind it are excellent to work with, and it’s affordably priced – all of which makes it easy to recommend. I’m looking forward to building more of that into my own work with startups and spin-outs through the partner programme.”
