Thomas Carroll, the leading independent insurance and risk management specialist, has been named Insurance Broker of the Year for South West & Wales at the UK Broker Awards 2026.
The awards ceremony took place at The Vox, Resorts World, NEC, in Birmingham on Thursday, October 8, recognising excellence and achievement across the insurance broking sector.
Judges acknowledged Thomas Carroll’s drive for business growth and its commitment to creating opportunities across South West England and Wales through active recruitment, regional investment and expansion.
The opening of its Bristol office in 2025 created additional opportunities, with nine employees now based at the office. Across its Welsh offices in Caerphilly, Swansea, Newport and Haverfordwest, the employee-owned business recruited 16 people in 2025, with a further two appointments made so far this year.
Alongside its commercial growth, Thomas Carroll continues to build lasting relationships with the communities in which it operates.
For decades, Thomas Carroll has proudly supported Tŷ Hafan, having been involved since the hospice first opened its doors, and has raised more than £128,000 to help children with life-shortening conditions and their families. This year, employees completed the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge to continue supporting the hospice and the vital care it provides.
